Events at the Rose Palace - 3 Events, 1 Weekend - Nov 16-17!
All three events (Schooling show, Lynne Jones clinic and WE clinic) will be held at the Rose Palace in 3 seperate arenas!  Come to show or audit all events!  Just pay ONE audit fee for both clinics!

Clinic with Lynne Jones, USDF Gold Medalist - Nov 15, 16 & 17

45 minute lesson - $150 for members, $175 for non-members.  Lynne is a retired USEF judge and TD, earned her Bronze, Silver and Gold medals on horses she trained herself. She has earned numerous USEF/USDF Horse of the Year awards and Regional Championships through the years, training several horses to Grand Prix, as well as coaching numerous students through the FEI levels. She also was the dressage coach for Tarzan and Anne Sutton Hardaway at the Seoul Olympics in Combined Training. Lynne was also a long-time ADA member before moving to Georgia.  Contact Lisa Mattson to ride.  Auditors welcome! Working Equitation Clinic with Doreen Atkinson - Nov 16-17

Private 45 min: $135 member, $145 non-member. Semi-private: $120/$140, Group(3): $90/$110. Working Equitation (WE) was created to celebrate the partnership between horse and rider, with a focus on classical horsemanship and use of the horse for ranch work. WE has a series of trials, including Dressage.  Horses are ridden in Western, English or other tack and are judged according to the same criteria. Doreen is a WE judge and TD. She will be teaching group lessons on the basics, including obstacles.  Many ADA members are participating in WE events and are excited about how fun and challenging it is for both horse and rider! Fall Educational Event!  Improve your Judging Eye with Kathy Rowse, "S" NOT JUST FOR JUDGES! November 2-3
Open to everyone!  USDF University credit. Judges and L grads can earn 8 hours continuing Education Credit.  Kathy Rowse is a USEF "S" judge since 1999, USDF Bronze, Silver and Gold medlist and member of the USDF L program faculty. Kathy has coached numerous students to achieve all of their medals as well as regional and national awards. Her greatest passion is teaching both riders and "L" candidates. 
This event is open to anyone who wants to learn more about our wonderful sport. "L" grads willl earn 8 CE hours and everyone will get a small glimpse of the "L" program should they be thinking about pursuing it in the future.  This is an interactive educational program. 
Saturday night beginning at 4pm at the Hampton Inn in Bulverde, we will be reviewing what is included in the collective marks and use video taped riders at all levels.
Sunday morning beginning at 8am at Retama Equestrian Center, we will be using live horse and rider combinations.
Everyone will come away with a much better understanding of the training scale and how the judge evaluates their performance in the dressage ring.
